At Antique Hunter, finding an object is only the beginning.
The Hunt is where we investigate selected antiques and collectables in greater depth. We study makers’ marks, hallmarks, construction methods, materials, historical records, auction archives and comparable examples to uncover as much of each piece’s story as possible.
Some objects can be identified with certainty. Others leave clues rather than answers. Our research therefore distinguishes between what is confirmed, what can reasonably be attributed, and what remains under research.
As new evidence is discovered, our records are updated. Even after an item has been sold, its research and story can remain part of the Antique Hunter archive.
We don't just find old things. We hunt for their stories.
